Editing Inspection Titles in Mobile

Did you know that you can edit an Inspection's title when you initially create it and after it's been saved?

You can edit an inspection’s title while you’re creating it, at any time after it’s been saved, and even if it’s a Form. You do this by selecting the Inspections icon at the bottom of your device’s screen.

Editing a title when creating a new inspection

  1. Open Field Mobile.
  2. Select Inspections and then an Area.
  3. Click the Plus button to start creating a new Inspection.
  1. Select an template from the categories listed. When you do this you see a preview of the template, use this to check you have the correct one.
  2. When you have the correct template, click Start to open it.
  3. Enter your description in the Title field. You can edit this at any time before you save the form.
  1. Press the back arrow, <, in the top left corner to save your changes and return to the Inspections list.

Editing an existing inspection title

  1. Open Field Mobile.
  2. Select Inspections, then select the Area.
  3. When you reach the Inspections list, tap on the one you want to edit.
  1. The Title field is automatically in Edit mode.
  2. Update the field as required. All changes are automatically saved when you close Edit mode.

Editing a PDF's title

  1. Open Field Mobile.
  2. Select Inspections, then select the Area.
  3. Tap on the Inspection you want to edit.
  4. Tap the information icon to open the form in Edit mode.
  1. Update the Title field as required.
  2. Tap the X in the top right corner to save your changes and return to the PDF.
