Issue Capture

Managing the issue capture workflow.

What is it?

Issues can be categorized in a range of ways but typically they are defined as a ‘defect’ and result in substandard work in the design, workmanship, and/or in the materials or systems used on a project which result in the failure of a component part of a building or structure and causes damage to person or property.

Why would you want it?

An Issue, or defect work, is managed with a simple workflow. There is the identification step after which the issue is assigned to a responsible person to rectify and notify that work is complete. Of course there is the ‘it wasn’t me’ option where the assigned party can dispute that the allocation of the work is not their responsibility, all of which is managed in the workflow and track in Oracle Aconex.
