Understanding implementation roles and responsibilities

Having the right people involved in the implementation and rollout of Aconex reduces delays and increases the chance of success.

Your team

During implementation, we’ll have a lot of discussions and decisions will be made. We recommend creating a team that includes the following people:

ChampionsAdvanced users who participate in day-to-day execution of Aconex. Able to answer questions and support the roll-out.Document Controller, Site Manager, Contracts Administrator, Engineering Disciplines

Additionally, each user will have specific access to system functionality, depending on their role in your organization. You can read more about user roles here.

Organization and Project Administrators have the ability to change a variety of settings as well as run other key tasks such as creating new user accounts. You should be identify these people and make sure they are trained during the delivery phase.

The Aconex team

Implementing Aconex is not some thing you’d normally do on your own: there’ll be a team of people using their experience to support your project from the initial meetings all the way through to roll out.

This team usually consists of the following roles. Of course, your point of contact will depend on the agreement created for your specific project needs.

ConsultantExecution of product implementation, project support and client relationship.
Client Services ManagerOversee successful implementation and service as well as point of escalation.
Regional Client Services ManagerOverall responsibility and management of the Client Services team. Drives customer experience, effective implementation and service.
Industry ConsultantIndustry experience for additional consulting needs, business analysis and process engineering.
Product SpecialistProvide expertise on the implementation and use of specific products or modules.
Engagement ManagerChange management and planning for large, complex engagements. Single point of contact for optimal use of Aconex including reporting on agreed success criteria
Account ManagerManagement of the commercial agreement, account relationship and growth.
