A range of information About Aconex Mobile is also provided here, including access to technical support and legal details.

Synchronization settings

Synchronization settings control when Aconex for Mobile checks for updates to mail, documents, and project data such as attributes, available mail types and so on.

Location

The location settings let you choose which local instance of Aconex you’re logged into.

Make a selection from this list, and you’ll be asked to log out of the current instance, then log in to your chosen instance.

Mail

Mail settings let you control Aconex mail to suit your needs and device limitations.

If your phone or tablet doesn’t have enough room to store mail in the quantities set by default in the app, you can reduce those limits here.

  • Upload/download size warning is available on iOS devices only. It lets you set the point at which you receive a warning about the amount of mail data you’re uploading or downloading.
  • Clear Mail Cache lets you remove stored mail from your device. If you’ve reduced your maximum cache size, or the attachments shown per mail, tap this button. This will remove all stored mail from your device, and let you start afresh, downloading mail from Aconex in line with your new settings. It won’t affect the mail itself — that’s still available in your Aconex project.

What’s “cache”?

The cache is the storage area that Aconex for Mobile keeps on your phone. Once they’re downloaded, mail and documents stored in cache don’t need to be downloaded again every time you need to see them.

Documents

Documents settings let you control how the app manages document downloads.

  • Maximum documents stored in cache lets you increase or decrease the number of documents  that can be stored on your device.

  • Upload/download size warning is available on iOS devices only. It lets you set the point at which you receive a warning about the amount of document data you’re uploading or downloading.

  • Clear Document Cache lets you remove stored documents from your device. If you’ve reduced your maximum document cache size, tap this button. This will remove all stored documents from your device, and let you start afresh, downloading mail from Aconex in line with your new settings. It won’t affect the documents themselves — they’re still available in your Aconex project.

Task list

The Task List settings let you control which documents are shown in the Task List for each project.

If, for example, you wanted your Task List on Aconex for Mobile to show only documents with a status of For review, you’d select that from this list.
