Give others the ability to edit Document fields inline

Add inline document field editing to user roles on your project.

If you’ve set certain document fields on your project to be editable, you’ll need to enable the editing feature for users in your organization so that it can be used.

You can do this using User Role Settings.

Once you’ve given this ability to a user role, any changes that users with those roles make to the document fields will affect the whole project. Make sure those users are aware of the far-reaching implications of their changes when you enable document field editing for them.

  1. Select your project in the Project Selector at the top of the page.
  2. Click the Setup button on the module menu, and under Configuration, click Configure User Role Settings.

  1. Scroll to the Project heading and find the item that reads, Edit document select-list values inline.

  2. In the column for the role for which you want to enable this setting, select Grant from the dropdown menu. Or create a new role specifically for this privilege, and assign certain users to it.

  3. Click Save to save your changes.
