Configure Mail Type Rules

Specify which mail types can be used for creating, replying and forwarding mail

You can set Mail rules to control which mail types can be used for certain business processes. The project owner can specify which mail types are allowed to be used for starting a mail thread, and which can be used for replying and forwarding. It makes it easier for users to choose the right mail type.

  1. Log into Aconex and click on Setup in the Module Menu.
  2. Under Project, click on Project Settings.
  1. Click the Mail Type tab.
  2. Click on Edit Rules.
  1. Specify whether users can create a mail of this mail type for the project.
  1. Choose Custom ... to select available mail types for replying to this mail type.
  1. Select mail types to be made available for replying and click on the arrow to move them across to the Selected column. Then click OK.
  1. The selected mail types will now appear in the Reply to Mail Type column.
  1. Follow the same steps to select mail types for forwarding mail. Click Save to apply the rules.
