Based on some of your suggestions.

Last year we introduced you to Ideas Exchange - an online, interactive forum where Aconex Users can suggest, discuss, and vote on product development ideas. We’ve received hundreds of great ideas and the 10.2 release is based on some of your suggestions (see the Release Notes for full details).

Access Control for documents – More control over your project information

To give organizations greater control over who can create, search, and supersede documents, we have added a new access control area in setup. Access control for documents allows you to assign specific access levels to different users for document types.

Please note that this feature is not granted to all projects by default. If your organization would like this enabled please contact your local Service Desk.

Improvements to the User Administration Areas

We’ve also made improvements to the user administration areas, to make it even quicker to find what you’re looking for.

  • Ability to search for Given/Family Name on the “Assign User Roles” page. Making it faster for Organization Administrators to easily find users and assign the correct role.
  • “Disabled Users” hidden on the “Assign User Roles” page. “Disabled Users” are now hidden in this area by default but they can be displayed by selecting the Show disabled users checkbox.
  • Removal of title from email notifications. Notifications from Aconex no longer have the title (for example, Mr, Mrs) in the from field, to allow for better sorting in your email.

Coming Soon – Aconex Mobile

Now Aconex goes everywhere you go. We’re pleased to announce the launch of Aconex Mobile (for iPhone®) in April.

Very soon you’ll be able to create, capture, share and control your project information from wherever you are, right from your mobile device, online or offline.
