Problem printing Aconex mail - bug caused by Internet Explorer 11.0.43 release

Written for:

The release of Internet Explorer 11.0.43 has resulted in a bug which stops you printing Aconex mail when using that browser.

If you try to print a mail, your printout will show a “missing resource 404” error, not the mail you sent to print.

The easiest workaround for this is to use a different browser, like Chrome or Firefox, which will work as normal. The bug only affects printing from Internet Explorer.

A fix for this bug is ready to go and will be in place as part of the 17.6 release. See specific regional release dates at Support Central.

Until then, if you must use Internet Explorer and need to print a mail urgently, you can do it with the following workaround:

  1. Open the mail you want to print.
  2. Right-click somewhere on the mail screen.
  3. Select Print preview...
  4. If the mail won’t fit on one page, you can choose Shrink to Fit or modify the zoom % in the dropdown list at the top of the screen.
  5. Click the printer icon at the top left corner to print your mail.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience, if you have any questions, please contact your local Service Desk.

Any feedback?

Thanks. A ticket has been opened with the Support Central team.
