We’re excited to announce the release of the Change Event PDF feature. This feature allows you to download a formatted document of a Change Event, complete with signature lines, to present to third parties for review and signature. The Change Event PDF is configurable, allowing you to define the content of document.

Content includes:

  • Signature Lines
  • Titles
  • Terms & Conditions
  • Recipient
  • Amounts
  • Change Event Items

You can access this feature in the main register. Clicking on the Download PDF button will open a modal where you can define the content of the document for the highlighted Change Event.

Setting the standard for Change Event PDFs for your project.

A Change Events section has been added to the Project Settings page for you to define default data for the Change Event PDF. The data will be defined on the Download as PDF modal by default when it opens, but can be edited before downloading the document. The new section includes Change Event PDF Signature Line Defaults, Change Event PDF Titles, and Change Event Terms & Conditions Defaults.

Define what’s included in the Change Event PDF.

Once you request to Download PDF, by default, the data from the Project Settings – Change Events tab will be defined. You can make different selections or define different data to suit the document being downloaded.

Step 1: Select the title for the document, define the recipient and their address (via the Aconex directory or manual entry) and define the signature lines to be added at the bottom of the document. Each signature line will also include a line for the date of the signature.

Step 2: Select the amounts ( Budget Changes, Cost Changes and/or Budget Transfers) and the Change Event Items from the subject Change Event that you want to include. By default, all amounts and items are selected.

Note: the selections made and the data defined on the Download as PDF will not update the default settings on the Project Settings – Change Events page. All selections and data defined on the Download as PDF will be reset to the default when it’s closed.

Configured Calculated Fields – Summary Options.

Configured calculated fields allow you to select existing fields and define formulas to perform calculations. We’ve now added the ability to choose the method of summarizing the values to column totals.

Configured Manual Fields – available on Cost Grids and Reports.

You can add data manually into cost grids, and these can be configured to roll values up to column summaries on grids and reports.
