Improvements and fixes

UPDATE: The following improvements were prepared for a future release, but have arrived earlier than we expected. We apologize for any inconvenience.

  • The Supersede action in the Document Register has been renamed to Edit / Upload new version.
  • The Supersede Document button in Document Properties has been renamed to Update Document.
  • A new permission asset Create Placeholders was recently added to User Role Configuration. This new permission asset isn't functional just yet, as it will apply to a new upload experience we'll announce later this year.

Improvements and fixes

  • In some scenarios, the color of the draft mail status badge wasn't displaying correctly. We've fixed that, so now it always displays in grey.
  • We've fixed an issue that reset the mail composition screen if you happened to edit a mailing group whilst composing a mail.
  • For new projects, the setting Prevent an emailed reply from updating mail status is now selected by default. Most projects are enabling this setting when configuring mail rules, so we've made things easier by selecting it for you.

What's new

Rain, hail, or shine, your daily reports all together in one place
Daily Reports has arrived in Field and Oracle Aconex Mobile. Site supervisors can now track important site details such as the weather, site numbers, equipment, and more. All information captured is retained in the Aconex audit trail, so it's easy to refer to later. Stay tuned for further updates as we continue to develop and improve Daily Reports over the coming months. Learn more

Improvements and fixes

  • The Model Coordination plugin for Revit and Naviswork now allows you to select the Canada (CA1) instance.
  • We fixed an issue where the Model Coordination plugin failed to automatically update. If you're still using version 20.9 of the plugin, download the latest version.

Improvements and fixes

Retiring redundant Fax-In and Mail-In features.

After quite a few years of inactivity, it's time to say farewell to two of our older features. We're giving advance notice that we'll be retiring the Fax-In and Mail-In options currently situated in Setup > Project Settings > Addresses. We'll be aiming to remove these as part of the upcoming 21.3 release.

Global Login

What's new

Global Login becomes The Lobby! The new, easy way to access your projects.

The Lobby is your new and improved entry point for Aconex. Just like with Global Login, you’ll be able to access all your Oracle Construction and Engineering projects with a single login, but you’ll also experience improved usability and functionality.

If you've previously used Global Login, simply go to and use the same email address and password you usually do to sign in. Once you sign in, you’ll be in the Lobby and able to enjoy the improved experience.

If you've never used Global Login, you'll have a chance to try the Lobby really soon. Sign up for our monthly release highlights to stay updated on its availability, or look out for the banner in Aconex letting you know that we're open for new users. Learn more

Release schedule

We take a staggered approach when rolling out features and improvements to each instance. This means that on the release date, you may not see all updates immediately. Features are progressively rolled-out over a 30-day period, starting from the indicated release dates below. We can’t guarantee a global rollout of features across instances within the same timeframe. Features that are not available on all instances are listed here. This information is accurate at the time of publishing and is subject to change without notice.
