Working with Comments Field

Find out how to add and view comments to issues and organizations, and how to export them to PDF.

Comments can be added, view and exported in both Aconex and Mobile.

Comments in Aconex

Adding comments to an issue

  1. Select an Issue.
  2. Scroll down to Comments section.
  3. Add a comment as applicable.
  4. Click Post.

Viewing issue comments

  1. Select an Issue.
  2. Scroll down to Comments section.
  3. View the existing comments.

Adding comments to an Organization

  1. Select an Issue.
  2. Assign it to the appropriate organization.
  3. Scroll down to Comments section
  4. Add your comment.
  5. Click Post.

Exporting Comments

Note that Comments can be exported only in PDF reports.

  1. Go to the Issues section.
  2. Click on Export and select PDF from the drop down list.
  3. Click Comments check box.
  4. Click Export.

Comments for Mobile

  • Comments can be added online and offline using the same procedure.
  • You will see an animation of three square boxes in the Comments section when your device goes offline.

Adding Comments to an issue in Mobile

  1. Go to Issues and select one.
  2. Scroll down to the comments section.
  3. Add a comment as required.
  4. Tap Post.

Viewing comments for an issue in Mobile

  1. Select an issue.
  2. Scroll down to comments section.
  3. View the existing comments.

Adding comments to an Organization in Mobile

  1. Select an issue.
  2. Assign it to the appropriate Organization.
  3. Scroll down to comments section.
  4. Add a comment as applicable.
  5. Tap Post.

Exporting Comments in Mobile

Comments cannot be exported in Offline mode.

  1. Go to Issues.
  2. Tap on the Export icon.
  3. Tap on the Comments button so that it turns green.
  4. Tap Export.
