Measurements in Models

Measurements make it easy for you to identify distances between objects and areas within your models, which reduces the time you need to find information and respond to inquiries.

Measurement Types

Distance

Use Distance to measure between two points in the model.

Plane to plane

Use Plane to plane to measure the distance between two facing objects.

Multipoint

Use Multipoint to measure the boundaries and area of a surface. A multipoint is also known as a polygon.

If an area doesn’t display, check that the locations of your points are all on the same surface.

90° guide

When you start measuring an object, a guide line automatically appears. This shows you when the line you are drawing is not at a 90° angle to your original point. This means you can easily see if your line is straight or not.
