Superseding single documents

Upload a revised version of a document that already exists in your document register.

When you update a document, a copy of the previous version of the document is saved in the document's history. So you can review this if required.

  1. Choose your project in the Project Selector, then select Documents/ Document Register.
  2. Run a search using the fields in the Docs Register.
  3. Click Search.
  1. Click in the search result row for the document you want to update and select  Supersede.
  1. Update document information fields as required, making sure that all mandatory fields are completed.
  1. To replace this document with a new revision, click the Choose Source button, locate the file you want to upload, and click the Open button.
  1. Click  Supersede Document.

  1. Click the link to choose your next step. You can elect either:
  • Transmit this document, or;
  • View in the document register.

Transmitting your document

The document you have just superseded is automatically attached to the transmittal. You now have to:

  1. Complete all mandatory Transmittal fields. 
  2. Complete any other fields as required.
  3. Click Send.
