Open and Review Documents in Aconex

Use the online viewer to open a PDF document in your register directly within Aconex.

The online viewer enables you to view PDF documents in your Document Register directly in Aconex. And if you have permission to markup documents in the document register, you’ll also be able to add markups and respond to another reviewer’s markups.

Tip!

You may need to speak to your Org Admin to have markup mode enabled.

Finding and marking-up documents

  1. Select your project from the Project Selector at the top of the page.
  1. Click the Documents button on the Module Menu, and then under Search, choose Document Register.
  1. Complete one or more search criteria fields.
  2. Click the Search button.
  1. Click more options in the result row for the document you want to view and choose Viewer.

After a document has been marked up in the Viewer, the Pencil icon will appear for that document. The yellow icon shows mark-up in non-PDF documents, and the red one for PDF documents. The total number of markups the document has are shown in the Number of Markups column. Note that the pencil icon only appears after a document has been marked up in the Viewer.

  1. Click on any document to see the Online Viewer option in the Row Action menu. This option allows you to open a document in the Viewer.

  2. Use the markup tools to mark up the document as required, which you can do using the Viewer.
