What is 2-Step Verification and how does it affect me?

2-Step Verification (2SV) brings extra security to Aconex.

This article covers key information about 2-Step Verification for Aconex users.

What is 2-Step Verification?

2-Step Verification is an extra layer of security within Aconex, and is also known as 2SV.

You already sign in using a login name and password. That’s the first step in 2-Step Verification. The second step links you with a physical device.

With 2-Step Verification, you use an Authenticator app on your mobile device (iPhone, Android, Windows, or Blackberry 7) or Windows computer to generate a unique code that you enter into the Aconex login page. We match that code to give you access.

If you use online banking or other cloud-based services, you may already be familiar with 2-Step Verification.

It helps to prevent the situation in which a malicious party guesses your password and gains unauthorized access to your account. It also helps to avoid insecure practices like password sharing between users.
