Set a default template (auto-text) for a mail type

Set up your mail so that each time you create a mail with a certain type, the default auto-text will be added automatically.

You can use a template that has already been created, or you can create your own template.

Tip!

If you can't make these changes, or functionality described here doesn't appear for you, you may not have privileges to make these changes. Contact your Project Owner or Project Admin: they manage the permissions for this setting.

  1. Choose your project from the Project Selector at the top of the page.
  1. Click the Setup button on the Module Menu, and under Configuration, click Preferences.
  1. On the User tab, scroll down to Settings for this projectMailSelect mail types, and click the Edit button.
  1. Click the Auto-text button for the mail type.
  1. If required, change the auto-text available for this mail type:
    • To add auto-text items - double-click items in the Available Auto-text list to add them to the mail type. The items in the Selected Auto-text list appear in the Default Auto-text list.
    • To remove auto-text items - double-click items in the Selected Auto-text list to remove them.
  1. Select the required default auto-text item for this mail type in the Default Auto-text list.
  1. Click the OK button.
  2. Click the Save button.
