Oracle Aconex US2 instance migration to ACXGOV

The Oracle Aconex US2 instance is mirgating to Aconex Federal Government (ACXGOV).

We are moving the Oracle Aconex US2 instance which will provide additional protections and access to the highest governance and security controls available. This migration will also comply with U.S. Government compliance requirements, known as FedRAMP.

Important password information for all users

Users MUST reset their password to a more complex password to meet security requirements. Failure to do so may result in their account being locked.

Passwords need to meet the following criteria to access the new instance.

  • Include a mixture of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
  • Be 15 -100 characters.
  • Be a minimum of 8 characters different from the current password.
We recommend all users reset their password on US2 before migration to ensure they meet these requirements.

If you currently access Aconex using SSO, there is no requirement to change your password.

What should all users expect after the migration?

  • All existing project data will continue to be available in the new instance.
  • The URL to login to the new instance will change to https://usgov.aconexgov.com. A temporary redirect will be applied from the existing US2 instance URL. Your IT department may need to whitelist https://usgov.aconexgov.com, to ensure any Aconex APIs are applied appropriately. The redirect will be disabled after 31 October 2025.
  • The new instance will be known as Aconex Federal Government (ACXGOV).

Will there be different functionality after the migration?

Yes. Following the migration, the new instance will be upgraded to Aconex release 23.12.

This represents a significant amount of feature enhancements and improvements. We recommend you review these here. Should any features currently available, not be available on the new instance, they may be implemented in a future release. We recommend you bookmark High Compliance Support Central (that's the site you're on now) to keep up to date with these releases.

Of particular note, we'd like to draw your attention to the following changes:

  • A default maximum inactive session will be applied at 15 minutes. There will be no ability to change this session time.
  • There will be no ability to create guest users or invite them to a project.

When will the migration take place?

The migration of US2 to Aconex Federal Government (ACXGOV), will require a maintenance time slot from September 5-7 2025. During this time, the Oracle Aconex US2 instance will be unavailable.

What do you need me to do?

In preparation for the migration, we recommend that you send this information to your users and partners to ensure no disruption to access to Aconex following the migration. Make sure you review the release notes with details of the upcoming changes to Aconex.
