What happens to my work when I’m offline?

You can use many Oracle Aconex Mobile features without an internet connection.

Oracle Aconex Mobile lets you keep working even when you’re offline.

While offline, cached data will automatically sync when you have a stable internet connection. If you explicitly log out without an internet connection, any cached data will be lost. Where possible, we recommend staying logged in at all times and syncing regularly to avoid this. If your login session has expired, you’ll just need to re-enter your password when you have an internet connection, and your data will sync.

Without an internet connection, you can:

Drawings

  • access drawings list you have viewed
  • access all downloaded drawings
  • mark a drawing for download so that you can access it later
  • pin issues to downloaded drawings.

Mail

  • Access mailboxes (Inbox, Sent, or Drafts) that you previously viewed while online (cached mail). Note: Mail attachments on your device are removed after one week of not being accessed.
  • Search offline mail with keywords
  • Filter on all mail fields
  • Create, reply, or forward mail. These items will be cached on your device and sent once you go online. If mail is unable to be sent, you’ll need to resolve unsent mail

Tip!

When you next connect to the internet, synchronizing your work saved on your device automatically starts if the Oracle Aconex Mobile app is running in the foreground.

While you can access all data that you’ve just viewed on your device, this data will be gradually be cleared from your cache after you use other apps. This means that you’ll probably have to view the items again to have the data held in your cache.
