Start an inspection on Mobile

Create inspections in either Checklist or PDF format on your mobile device.

Inspections provide structure for site inspectors to complete their work using either checklists or PDF forms.

Create new inspections in either Checklist or PDF format, then run tasks such as adding issues and attachments. Each inspection has different fields depending on how the project admin has configured them. 

Choosing a new template for your inspection

  1. Log into Oracle Aconex Mobile, and select the project you’re inspecting.
  2. Tap Inspections.
  3. Tap through the locations to find the one you’re working in, or scan a QR code on the site to select the location. 
  4. Tap the add icon at the bottom of the screen.
  1. Find the template you want to use by selecting a category or searching.

Complete a checklist

  1. Fill out the inspection checklist. 
  2. Tap to edit the Title, Status, Location, Assignee, and Due date.
  3. For each line item you can:
  • add an issue
  • add attachments
    • Take a Photo using your device's camera
    • Choose a Photo from your device. You can select up to 15 at a time. 
    • Tap Your Device to choose a file to attach.
    • Annotate a photo or file using the markup tools at the top of the screen.  
    • To markup images you have chosen from your device, tap the image and then tap Markup. 
    • Tap a thumbnail to preview the image in full screen.
    • Photos and files cannot be deleted after the issue is saved.
    • Attach files up to 100MB in size.
    • For security, you can't attach .jar and .exe files.
  • add notes
  1. Tap Save.

Complete a PDF form

  1. Fill out the PDF form. 
  2. Tap the i icon to edit the Title, Status, and Location.
  3. (Optional) Add line, arrow, pencil, and photo annotations using the markup tools.
  4. Tap Save.
