What is Aconex?

Aconex improves project management by centralizing communications, whether it be email-like communications or customized forms to match the unique business processes involved in a project.

The Aconex process and information management suite of solutions provide a common platform to manage all of the processes, correspondence, models and documents generated across the entire lifecycle of engineering and construction projects. Aconex operates in the cloud, which means Information can be stored, shared, tracked, searched and archived online from any location at any time. 

Access and Authorization

Aconex is designed to reflect the way in which organizations implement projects, but also includes features intended to provide the security and data protection needed by organizations implementing confidentiality-critical projects. 

The high compliance instance of Aconex allows you to log in to Aconex on two different devices or browsers at the same time. In technical terms this is known as having two separate login sessions at the same time. Learn more

Organizations and Projects

Projects are assigned to Organizations. Aconex Organizations are set up at the system level, allowing multiple projects to be assigned to a single organization. Once an Organization is set up, a Project is created and assigned to that organization.

An Administrator is set up for each Project. Once set up, the Administrator has the authority to enable access to that Project for other Organizations.

Users

Users are created and assigned to Organizations. Any user assigned to an Organization can access information for all Projects for which the relevant Project Administrator has enabled access. 

Documents

Only information that is explicitly shared is available to other project members.
