Documents

Improvements and fixes

We fixed some bugs

  • We've removed the unnecessary error message that appeared sometimes when accessing the Drawings tab.
  • Field values with parentheses (brackets) are now being populated correctly using the metadata upload spreadsheet in new upload.
  • A bug stopped alerts appearing when the import metadata spreadsheet had date errors. This has been fixed for csv files and and you'll now see alerts if the date field is incorrectly formatted. A fix for Excel files will be in a future release.
  • Project fields are now easier to edit in settings. We've rearranged the layout making it easier to remove usernames, if required.

Viewer

What's new

More than just PDFs

  • This feature has been delayed. We'll include it in a future release.
  • Now you can view more file types in the Online Viewer during a workflow review.
  • Supported file types include basic Microsoft Office formats, as well as image, and CAD files.
  • Markups aren't supported in these new file types.
  • Subscribe to the Release Notes email and we'll let you know when we've added more file types.
  • Read more about supported file types.

Packages

What's new

Document numbers in Package event logs

  • At your request, we've added document numbers to the Package event logs.
  • Quickly see the document numbers, along with the existing metadata, ie document titles, revision and version numbers.

A new way to see your transmittal history

  • You can now view your transmittal inside a Package.
  • You'll find them in a new Transmittal History tab inside the Package Mail screen.
  • Prefer using the Package Register? No problem, you can still view your transmittal history there.
  • The transmittal history is also included when exporting a Package.

Improvements and fixes

A new export option

  • We've added a much requested item: export package transmittal histories to Excel.
  • When viewing a package transmittal history, click the Export to Excel button to get the spreadsheet file.

We fixed some bugs

  • We fixed a bug with the Packages back button. It now returns you the package register, which is the expected behavior.
  • A bug occurred after accessing the Documents temporary files tab. This has been fixed and clicking the Document Register button takes you to the Document Register, as expected.
  • We've standardized the date picker calendars. Now the Italian calendar starts the week on Sunday (domenica), matching English and the other supported languages.

Giving you more control

  • We've added an option to choose which documents are included when sending a package.
  • Now you can choose to include all documents or just those new or updated.
  • This enhances the functionality to only send new or updated documents in a package transmittal.
  • Project Admins can find this setting on a new tab to the Project settings page, called Packages.
  • The Package Types settings have been moved here and a sub-tab, Transmittal Settings is where you can set the new option.
