In the 23.07.100 release, you can send more on a transmittal, attach files to sections in your daily report, and Cost and Lobby get some improvements.

This release is for:

What's new

Farewell classic search

  • This month we retire classic search, making the new improved search the only way to find documents fast.
  • With the new improved search, you'll enjoy the following features:
    • Filter multiple values in select lists, such as document types, statuses, and disciplines.
    • Drag and pin columns in place to easily scroll and view search results.
    • Hide unpinned filters giving more space for search results.
    • Pin your favorite filters so you only see what you use.
    • Aconex remembers your search columns and pins for next time.
    • Decide whether search results load by default, or not.
    • If you're a Project Admin, set default filters for the project and decide how results are sorted.

Improvements and fixes

Faster filtering

  • Last month we made searching easier, by only displaying values in multi-select project fields that are used in your documents.
  • Initially, this applied to multi-select project fields created after the June release.
  • We're rolling this update out to all select lists, including those created before the June release. 

Keep it confidential

  • Now if a user is removed from a project, they'll no longer appear in the document confidentiality list when updating a document.
  • This means they won't have access to updated versions of a confidential document if they're invited back into the project.
  • If you need to, you can add users to the confidentiality list to provide them access.

Clearing the bugs

  • We fixed the error that stopped some of you from downloading the Bulk Processing template. 
  • A problem stopped some of you from using Bulk Processing in a supplier document package. This has now been fixed.
  • Autonumbering now behaves as expected if you happen to use two or more project fields with exactly the same values and codes.

Send more on a Transmittal

  • The wait is over! We've increased the limit on Transmittals, so you can send more in one go.
  • Send up to 3,000 documents in a single Transmittal.
  • Previously the limit was 1,000 documents.
  • The maximum weighting has also increased to 15,000. Learn more about transmittal weighting
  • Applies to the Transmittal mail type only. Does not apply to other transmittal types (Workflow, Supplier Document, Package, or Tender transmittals).

  • Now you can filter all issue types, even those that have been deleted.
  • Previously, you could only filter deleted issue types on Aconex web.

What's new

Flexible attachments, every day.

  • You asked for attachments per section in your daily report. We heard you.
  • Organize photos and other files in the equipment, workforce, materials, and other sections. 
  • This helps you find your photos and files fast, rather than looking through a single list.
  • Available for both web and mobile.

Cost

What's new

Substrings in calculated fields

  • We've improved calculated fields so the substring function returns more than five characters of text.
  • Previously you received an error if the text being split was more than five characters long.

Helpful messaging

  • We've updated the messages that appear when deleting records such as a control account.
  • The messages explain what relationships exist to help you find and update them before continuing.
  • This applies when manually deleting records, importing with the delete option, and using the API.

Improvements and fixes

Payment application fix

  • Some payment applications going through a very specific process were calculating an incorrect previous amount.
  • This occurred through the following process: Submitted > Request Revision > Update Draft > Re-Submitted > Approved.
  • This only affected shared contracts with this specific flow, other payment applications or flows were not affected.
  • The bug that caused the incorrect calculation has been fixed.

We fixed a bug

  • Potential and pending budget values now total correctly on control accounts with work or progress packages.

What's new

More data in the field

  • We've added the Assigned on attribute to be used as a column or filter in your field inspection reports
  • This lets you report on the date an inspection was assigned.

Flexible processes

  • You can now use a mail type to end many different processes. For example, an Approval can be configured to end an RFI, and Change Request process.
  • A mail type you've used to start a process can also be used to end other processes.

Improvements and fixes

Filtering for all

  • We've made improvements to the All and All Time filters.
  • The date filter All Time now works as expected.
  • For example, you can use this to filter all mail that's been closed out.
  • Using the All filter on multi-select fields now displays the same data on the screen and in the exported report.
  • To achieve this we'll no longer preselect individual filter values on the report view and pre-filter screens if you've used the All filter on these fields.

Lobby

What's new

Choose your account

  • Now when you use your Lobby email address to log in to Aconex, you can choose which linked account you want to log in with. 
  • If you only have one linked account we'll take you straight in.

Performance

We'll start the release on July 19 but it depends on what instance your project is on. Some updates will be released later in the 30-day release cycle.

We take a staggered approach when rolling out features and improvements to each instance. This means that on the release date, you may not see all updates immediately. Features are progressively rolled out over a 30-day period, starting from the indicated release dates below. We can’t guarantee a global rollout of features across instances within the same timeframe. Features that are not available on all instances are listed here.
