In the 24.04.100 release there are updates to the Lobby login, overbilling data added to Cost reports and additional scheduling options in Insights.

This release is for:

  • Cost users who need to report on overbilling.
  • Insight users who need to schedule overview reports.

Documents

Improvements and fixes

Change to Project Field asset

  • We've renamed the Edit Project Field select-list values Asset to Edit Project Field select-list values on upload/update. This name matches the corresponding asset for Document Fields.
  • We've made this renamed asset independent of the Create and Edit Project Field asset.
    • Even if the first asset is not granted, the second one will work when granted.

Viewer

Improvements and fixes

We fixed some bugs

  • For Markup Summary downloads we fixed the following bugs:
    • When there were more than 90 document markups in the XLS, the download failed.. This now works and there is no limit to the number of markups.
    • The Reply column was shown as Date. This has been corrected to show as Comment
  • Markup consolidation was failing due to a specific and non-standard PDF file format. This has been fixed and consolidation works as expected.
  • The Due Date was not using the correct format when set to English (US). This now displays correctly as mm/dd/yyyy.

Performace improvements

If there were more than 100 documents in a workflow, the viewer was slow to load files. This has been fixed and files now load faster.

Models

Improvements and fixes

Model Explore updates

For those with access to Model Coordination, we've made a few improvements in New Model Explore:

  • Document register models can be viewed alongside local files in the models list.
  • You can navigate models using Walkthrough mode.
  • Models can be added to the models list from the Document Register.
  • Add a Design Issue with the ability to capture multiple viewpoints.

Cost

Improvements and fixes

Contract overbilling

  • The import template has been updated to allow for overbilling via import
    • If an old template is used then the newly created contract will have overbilling disabled
  • When overbilling is enabled or disabled, the activity stream captures who made the changes and when.
  • Upstream and downstream overbilled amounts are shown in their own columns.
  • Overbilling information is included in any exports.
  • A yellow triangle symbol is shown against overbilled amounts.
    • Hovering over the triangle displays the message "All Actuals have exceeded the Current Contract amount."
  • Payment application summary includes Previous Overbilled and To Date Overbilled amounts.
  • All new overbilled columns from Contracts, contract pay items, cost worksheet, and payment applications have been added to Cost reports, Insight reports and calculated configured fields.

Other improvements

  • The activity stream now captures any changes to the cost code along with who changed it.
  • For projects with more than 1000 contracts, the contract numbers are automatically incremented.
  • Previously contracts shared with other organizations appeared twice in the activity stream, now they only appear once.

Setup

Improvements and fixes

Updates to Lobby login

  • When you log out of Aconex, all active Lobby sessions will also be logged out.
  • This prevents someone taking over a device and logging into Aconex without entering valid credentials.

Lobby

Improvements and fixes

Administrators can search for and select multiple user accounts when migrating users to the Lobby

  • Search for and select multiple users, clear the search criteria, enter another, select users again, and continue until all required users are selected.
  • Once finished, clear the search criteria and all selected users will be displayed.
  • Then start the migration for all the selected users.

We'll start the release on Apr 10 but it depends on what instance your project is on. Some updates will be released later in the 30-day release cycle.

All instances. US2 will be updated after its change freeze period ends.

Release schedule

We take a staggered approach when rolling out features and improvements to each instance. This means that on the release date, you may not see all updates immediately. Features are progressively rolled out over a 30-day period, starting from the indicated release dates below. We can’t guarantee a global rollout of features across instances within the same timeframe. Features that are not available on all instances are listed here. This information is accurate at the time of publishing and is subject to change without notice.
