Packages

What's new

Send more on a Package Transmittal

  • The wait is over! We've increased the document limit on Package Transmittals, so you can send more documents in one go.
  • Add up to 3,000 documents to a single Package. Previously the limit was 1,000 documents.
  • The maximum weighting for Package Transmittals has also increased to 15,000. Learn more about transmittal weighting.
  • These increased limits reduces the number of packages you need to manage on a project with lots of documents.

Mobile

What's new

Keeping your app updated

  • From December 2024, we'll no longer support older versions of the Oracle Aconex mobile app.
  • If your app is two versions behind, you'll be prompted to update to the latest version.
  • If your app is more than three versions behind, you'll be unable to use the app and must update to the latest version. An alert will appear for you to take action.
  • If your app is already up to date you can continue to use it. We encourage you to keep it updated, giving you access to the latest features, improvements and performance enhancements.
  • You can find out which version you're on from the home or settings screen of the app.

Supporting authorized devices

  • If your iPhone or iPad has an unauthorized modification (also known as jailbreaking), you won't be able to use the app. You'll receive a message that all Aconex data will be deleted for security.

Models

What's new

It’s easier to manage your models list

  • Loaded models now remain in place on the list. They no longer display in a separate Viewing group.
  • Click Show viewing models to see which models you've loaded in the list.

Model transparency

  • Make a model transparent to help you view other models around it.

Improvements and fixes

Improvements for new Model Explore

  • You'll find a search filter on the properties panel to help you find a specific model property. Click to expand the details of the property.
  • The Group By list is now ordered alpha-numerically so you can find your models easier.
  • If you've linked a document to a model you can view the document by clicking the Go to Document Register icon in the Linked Records panel.
  • You can clear the viewer by unloading all models. This helps you quickly load a different set of models into the viewer.
  • If the viewer stops working, you'll see a message with an option to restart it. Restarting the viewer keeps you within Models, instead of taking you back to the home page, so you can get back to exploring your models.

Supporting more file formats

  • The model viewer now supports both Revit 2025 and Navisworks NWC files.

Farewell classic Model Explore and Comments

  • Classic Model Explore has now been retired. All users can enjoy the new Model Explore.
  • Comments has also been retired. All Model Coordination projects should use Design Issues as the primary tool for raising issues against models.

Cost

Improvements and fixes

Improvements for Cost

  • The Fixed Potential and Pending Budget columns now display values to two decimal places.
  • We updated the tooltip in the Potential Downstream Contract Changes column to show Sum of Potential changes amounts from Downstream contracts.

Insights

What's new

Share reports with specific projects

  • Thanks to your feedback we've given you more control over the reports you share.

  • You can now filter Cost reports by tag categories, even if the category name has special characters such as $, #, *, +. Characters & and < are not supported. You should avoid using these characters in your category names.

What's new

  • You can now see who your Lobby Admins are, so you know who to ask for help.
  • The Organizations screen is available to all users from the main menu.
