April 2025

This month you'll find more rows in your excel exports, an easier way to reset an expired password, and faster loading times in Models and Lobby.

This release is for:
  • All users who need to export large data sets.
  • Model explorers who need to edit markups in bulk.
  • Cost admins who need to manage user access.
  • Data analysts who have lots of reports.
  • All users who got stuck with an expired password.

Documents

Improvements and fixes

Export larger data sets

  • In a previous release we updated the Export to Excel option in Aconex to use XLSX files.
  • We've now increased the amount of data you can export to 100K rows.
  • This applies to reports for Documents, Mail, Supplier Documents, and Workflows.
  • Does not apply to the Transmittal History Report by Org report or the Transmittal History Report By Document report.

Smarter content searching for all instances

  • In a previous release we began rolling out a feature to help you search for content within scanned (or flattened) PDF documents.
  • UPDATE:  We've temporarily rolled back this feature on all Aconex instances to address an unexpected behavior. Subscribe to release notes and we'll let you know once it's available.

Models

Improvements and fixes

Apply markup styles in bulk

  • You can now select multiple markups to change the color or line thickness for all of them at once.
  • Hold Ctrl (or Cmd if using a Mac) and click on each markup you want to select.

Faster sections in Models

  • We've improved performance when using the section tool.

Viewing Navisworks files

  • You can now load and view Navisworks .nwd files in Models.

Cost

Improvements and fixes

Share mail for easy communication

  • Mail attached to a payment application or contract change can now be set as shared or private.
  • This helps you provide the relevant mail to the organizations you are working with.
  • Mail is only shared with the organizations who you have shared the contract with.
  • If a mail is marked as confidential, it will only be visible to those specific users in the organization you shared with.

Manage access across your projects

  • We've modified the Automatically enable users functionality to apply to the current project, rather than your whole organization.
  • This helps you restrict access if your organization works across multiple projects.
  • Previously if you enabled this setting, users already enabled in other project would automatically be enabled for Cost each time they were invited to a new project.
  • Now, you can choose to enable this setting on each project.

Improved search in the cost worksheet

  • You can now use a wildcard to search for control accounts in the cost worksheet.
  • As an example, you can search 2100* to find all accounts that start with 2100.

Insights

Improvements and fixes

Sorting your reports list

  • You can now sort your reports list by name, description, subject areas, sharing status, modified by, and modified date.
  • This helps you find a particular report faster, especially if you have a long list of custom reports.

Speaking your language

  • The schedule editor and schedule listing screens are now displayed in our supported languages.

Setup

Improvements and fixes

Sorting projects when creating users

  • When creating a new user account, the projects list can now be sorted to help you find the projects you want to invite the user to.
  • Click on a column heading to sort the list of projects.

Lobby

What's new

It's easier to reset an expired password

  • Now, if your password has expired you'll see a click here to change your password button. Click it to reset your password right there in the login screen.
  • If your password hasn't expired but you can't login, click the new Forgot Password link to request a password reset email.
  • Still need help getting access? Click Need help signing in to view the help content.

Improvements and fixes

Faster sign-in

  • We've made improvements to the project list when you first enter the Lobby, so you can access your project faster.

View your project status

  • If you have access to a project across multiple accounts, you'll now see the status of the project for each user account.

We'll gradually release these updates from April 19.

All instances except US2.
