This release is for:
  • Reviewers who need to quickly see who created a document.
  • Package admins who send lots of packages.
  • Model coordinators who want to save some time.
  • All organizations that have created a custom field inspection report.
  • API developers who need to update an OAuth Client.

Documents

What's new

Temporary rollback of searching scanned PDFs

  • In a previous release we announced a new feature to help you search for content within scanned (or flattened) PDF documents.
  • We've temporarily rolled back this feature on all Aconex instances to address an unexpected behavior.
  • Subscribe to release notes and we'll let you know once it's available.
  • You can continue to search for file content for text based PDFs.

Improvements and fixes

More data in your transmittal history report

  • UPDATE: This functionality has been delayed. We'll include it in a future release.

Workflows

Improvements and fixes

See who created a document

  • Thanks to your feedback you can now add the Document Created By column when searching workflows.
  • This helps you see the name of the organization that created the document.
  • The Project Admin can also set this as a default column for the project from project preferences.

Packages

Improvements and fixes

Reduced notifications when sending a package

  • Thanks for letting us know you received too many popup notifications when sending a package.
  • If your package transmittal settings are set to send new/update documents you'll now see a single popup notification to confirm your package was sent.
  • UPDATE: The release notes incorrectly stated that this applied to sending packages in bulk. This has been corrected.

We fixed a bug

  • You let us know some multi-select fields were showing the same value twice. We've fixed this so each value only displays once.

Models

Improvements and fixes

Saving you time when viewing models

  • We've reduced the time it takes for models to appear in the models list
  • It's easier to find viewpoints. You can now filter your viewpoints to see those visible to just to you, your organization or your project.
  • We've added a refresh button to the viewpoints list, so you can get the latest data without leaving the list.
  • We've saved you time scrolling the explorer tree. By default the tree is now collapsed, so you can easily see all your models. Then, you can expand the tree for the models you want to investigate.
  • When using the Revit plugin, you'll now find clash information visible in an issues details.

Cost

Improvements and fixes

Improvements for Cost

  • All columns are now included if you export from Upstream and Downstream payment application items.
  • You can no longer make updates in Cost if your project has been set to archive mode.

Insights

What's new

Action Required - Update your Field Inspection reports

  • To improve performance we've made changes to the structure of the Field Inspections subject area in custom reports.
  • We've moved some columns from Field Inspections subject area into a new Field Inspection Items supporting subject area.
  • If you've previously created a Field Inspection custom report, you'll need to update it to use the columns from the new Field Inspection Items supporting subject area.
  • We're giving you early notice of this change to allow you time to update your report(s). Your reports will continue to work for now but you must update them soon.
  • Learn more about this change and what you need to do.

Find project owners for all users

  • The User Details, Assignment and Configuration report now includes the Project Owner column.
  • This helps you find the project owner for each project that organization is working on.

Improvements and fixes

Renaming Tasks to Home

  • We've renamed the Tasks menu to Home to prepare for a new experience on your Aconex home screen.
  • Only the title of the menu will change in this release.
