November 2025

This month, save time updating documents in bulk, save columns for selected objects in Models, attach package documents to a tender, and you'll find improvements in Mail, Document Processes, and Lobby.

This release is for:
  • Document controllers who need to add or update hundreds of documents.
  • Model coordinators who need to view properties for different objects and models.
  • Those who prepare tenders and use packages to manage documents.
  • Project Admins who want more control of selections in mail forms.
  • Project teams using Document Processes who want to review 3D models.
  • Lobby admins who manage OAuth Clients.

Documents

What's new

A faster way to bulk upload documents

  • We've built a new bulk processing tool to help you add or update hundreds of documents even faster.
  • Access the new tool from the Documents menu:
    • Under Search, click Bulk Processing Job - New to see previous jobs. You can also start a new job from here.
    • Under Actions, click Start a Bulk Process - New to jump straight in to the new tool.
  • We'll retire the previous Bulk Processing option early in 2026. We recommend you start using the new bulk processing today and let us know what you think.
  • If you upload files within the new bulk processing flow, we'll pre-fill the metadata template with the filenames for you.
  • To update documents fast you can select up to 5000 documents from the document register and download a pre-filled template. The template will be populated with all the required metadata for the documents. You no longer have to copy and paste metadata from exported reports, saving you time.
  • Just like the previous bulk processing, if your project uses project fields on document types, the metadata template will contain multiple sheets for each document type, otherwise you’ll see a single sheet.
  • If a bulk process job fails you can quickly upload a new template in the same flow, without having to restart the process. A new terminate button also allows you to cancel the import if required.

View models from the document register

  • After uploading a model to the Document Register, you and your team can view it immediately without going into the Models module.
  • This allows you to view a specific version of a model.

Models

What's new

Save columns in the selected objects tool

  • The Selected Objects tool, now has the ability to save columns (similar to creating a saved search).
  • You can switch between your saved column views to more easily view and export properties across different objects and models.
  • If you have permission, you can also share your column views with others in your organization or project.

Tenders

What's new

Attach package documents to a tender

If you manage specific sets of documents in your packages, you can now add them directly to your tenders, saving you time and helping you to attach the correct documents.

Mail

What's new

Create a business process in Unifier

If you manage your project in both Aconex and Primavera Unifier, we've saved you some time.

UPDATE: This feature has been delayed. We'll include it in a future release.

Restrict selections in project field hierarchies

  • If your project contains project field hierarchies, currently any user can select any available option.
  • Thanks to your feedback, Project Admins can now decide which values are available to different groups of users.
  • This provides greater control over form selections and helps to reduce errors.

Improvements and fixes

Adding commas to currency

  • Thanks to your feedback, Project Admins can now choose to show comma separators when viewing currency values, such as 100,000. This makes larger values easier to read.
  • Values should still be entered as normal without the commas (ie 100000) but when viewing or exporting the mail, the commas will be added automatically.
  • The new project level preference is Use comma style to display currency fields, available from your project preferences under the Setup menu.

Packages

Improvements and fixes

A new look for package schedule

  • We've updated the fonts and alignment of the Package Schedule screen.
  • This makes it consistent with other screens across the platform allowing for an intuitive and seamless experience.

Field

Improvements and fixes

Update reviewer actions in test plan templates

NoteTest Plans is currently only available to projects on the KSA1 and MEA instances. We'll continue to develop features based on feedback and announce availability for other Aconex instances at a later date.

  • Test plan admins or associates can now edit reviewers and/or reviewer actions in a test plan template.
  • This gives you more flexibility to update templates and publish them for users on site.

Document Processes

What's new

Review in 3D

NoteDocument Processes is currently only available to projects on the KSA1 and MEA instances. We'll continue to develop features based on feedback and announce availability for other Aconex instances at a later date.

  • If your project is enabled with Document Processes, you can now review 3D models.
  • The files are opened in the model viewer, so you can use the existing tools to view and interrogate the model.
  • Reviewers (and lead reviewers) can add a issues without a pinned location to add their comments during the review. This means you cannot add markups to a 3D review but you can describe the problem that needs correcting.
  • Make sure you've added the document to models so you can view it in Document Processes.

Review in bulk

  • Process owners can perform a QA check across multiple documents in a single action, saving your time from opening each deliverable.
  • Lead reviewers can assign a review outcome to multiple steps in a single action, saving time from clicking through each step.

Improvements and fixes

See when reviewers have completed their review

  • Reviewers have new options to mark their review as in progress and completed.
  • This helps lead reviewers know when all reviewers have completed their review, so they know when to move the review onto the next step. This saves time from having to check in with each reviewer to see if they are done.

View previous outcomes

  • When reviewing a document you'll now see the outcomes from previous steps.

Reviewers can add reviewers

  • You let us know you wanted the ability to add reviewers, without having to ask the process owner. You've got it.
  • If you're a reviewer on a deliverable, you can now add more reviewers to collaborate and raise issues.  Similarly, lead reviewers can choose to add reviewers or lead reviewers.

Add an issue without a location

  • Reviewers (and lead reviewers) can raise an issue on a deliverable without a pinned location.
  • This is handy to make a comment about the document that is not specific to a location.
  • You can add a mix of issues with or without a pinned location to help you complete your review.

Cost

Improvements and fixes

Time saving in Cost

  • We've updated error messages during the importing process to help you correct your import file faster.
  • Under your organization settings, you can now choose the default name for new change event items, saving time and reducing errors.

Insights

Improvements and fixes

Get more insights

  • Organization reports now show the time the data was refreshed, so you know exactly the point in time the report was taken from. Note this does not apply to the Project Activity Report as its data is refreshed monthly.
  • Mail reports now have the option to filter mail from organizations that are now disabled on the project. This provides flexibility in the mail you want to include in your report.

API

Improvements and fixes

Manage OAuth clients

  • Lobby admins can now disable, enable, and delete their organizations OAuth Clients. You no longer need to contact support to do this.

More package events

  • The Package Events API now includes the PACKAGE_NO_LONGER_IN_USE and PACKAGE_DELETED events, to help you filter packages.

We'll gradually release each update over a 30-day period starting November 22.

Some updates only apply to projects on the KSA1 and MEA instances as indicated. All other updates will be made available to all instances.
