Open Project Archive from your PC or via a network

Open your Project Archive and start browsing your project data.

Opening your Project Archive

  1. Find the archive .exe file on your computer and run it. Note: You can click the Start menu (Windows icon) and search for the word Aconex or the archive name to help you find it.
  2. After running the .exe you'll see a window saying the archive is loading.
  3. Once this has finished, your default browser will open the archive manager.

Stopping the Project Archive

You can stop the Archive Viewer service by closing the browser tab. You will then see a message asking if you want to close the application.

You can either select Open browser to reopen your archive, or Shutdown to close it. This shows a message to say the application is closing.

Open Project Archive from a computer on your local network

Allow remote connections must be ticked in the Archive settings tab for this to work correctly.

 

To access the archive you’ll need to know either the IP address or DNS name of the PC where the archive has been installed.

Once you have this, you can access the archive by entering the following address in your web browser (replacing the IP address or DNS name accordingly).

IP address example: https://192.168.0.12:7443/manager  (in this example the installation PC’s IP address is 192.168.0.12).

DNS name example: https://OfficeServer:7443/manager   (in this example the installation PC’s DNS name is OfficeServer).
