Follow these guidelines when installing a Digital Media Archive for the first time.
Aconex takes data protection very seriously. To ensure your information doesn't fall into the wrong hands during transit, we encrypt the archives or the hard drive that contains your archive. Before you can start using your archive by installing the Archive Viewer, you may need to decrypt your archive.
If you are prompted to format the USB drive. STOP! This means the drive has been encrypted. Do not format the drive, otherwise, your data will be lost. Safely remove the USB from your device and follow these decryption instructions to open the Archive inside it.
Once you've done that, follow the instructions below.
You may be asked for a password during the installation process. You will have received a password through Aconex Mail. If you didn’t order the Archive, contact Oracle Support for assistance.

When you plug the archive hard drive into your computer, you may be prompted to format it. Do not format the drive. You need to follow these decryption instructions to open the Archive inside it.
If you do not have administrator rights for your computer, contact your IT department for assistance.
Note: You will need to have enough room on your computer/server to host the entire archive.
If a Windows Security Alert message from Windows Firewall appears, click the Allow access button to continue the installation.
You can enter a different shortcut folder name, if required.

Installation is complete, Project Archive will launch when you click Done (unless you uncheck the Launch Archive Viewer box).
