Install a multi-part (zip file) project archive

Two ways to download your archive

Depending on the size of your project, there are two different methods to download and install the archive. You will have received instructions detailing which method to use. 

If your instructions ask you to download the .exe installer (as in the example below), please follow the instructions to run the .exe installer and download your archive.

If your instructions contain separate download links, as in the example below, follow the instructions below to download your multi-part project archive.

Download your multi-part project archive

If your archive is separated into multiple files, you need to download them individually. Each file is a maximum of 100GB in size. Once downloaded you'll need to run an application (such as 7zip) to combine the files into a single zip file and extract it. 

1. An email will be sent to your nominated system user with the decryption password – please keep this safe. When you have received this email and are ready to download your archive please email cegbufulfillment-archiving_ww@oracle.com to receive your download Transmittal.

2. Please ensure that you download 7zip to allow you to combine the files, extract and decrypt your archive.

3. The transmittal will be sent via your Aconex project detailing your archive download links. Download links will expire after 10 days. If the links do expire please contact cegbufulfillment-archiving_ww@oracle.com to renew them. Your archive may be split into multiple zip files or just one. Below as an example transmittal mail containing the download links.

4. Create a folder on your computer for your archive and save all the zip files there.
5. Select all the zip files, right click and from the 7zip menu choose Extract Here. This will extract all the zip files to that location into one folder. 

6. When prompted enter the decryption password from the email you received in the first step.

7. When all files are decrypted and extracted, open the newly created archive folder

8. Double click on the Aconex archive exe file.

9. The Archive application will open.

10. A splash screen will display as your web browser opens.

11. Your default web browser will open. You may see a message stating ‘Your connection is not private’. If you do, click Advanced and the select Proceed to localhost to be directed to the application.

12. The Archive manager page will open and your Archive is ready to use.
