What's an Online Archive?

An online Archive exists within Aconex: effectively, your organization retains read-only access to the project online for a contracted period or as a (typically annual) subscription.

An Online Archive gives you access to your project from anywhere at any time, retaining all the great advantages of Aconex’s search and reporting functionality without having to worry about installing or maintaining any software.

With an online archive, you can:

  • Search for documents and mail with standard Aconex search capability.
  • Export search results to Microsoft Excel for reporting.
  • View all of your documents, including markups and document history.
  • View the event log for every document.
  • View sent, received, and draft mail, including transmittals and associated attachments.
  • Easily open and save mail attachments.
  • Access full mail thread information.
  • Print project mails.
  • Send jobs to a printer using Aconex.
  • Retain access to your information on all Aconex modules used by you on the project.

How to access an Online Archive

An Online Archive is accessible by logging into Aconex in the usual way. The project can be selected but will be shown with an 'Archive' status. Information can be viewed and downloaded but no new information can be created.

Tip!

If your company has purchased an online archive for a closed project that you need to access, please follow the steps here or contact your Oracle Aconex Representative to arrange access.
