Create and managing Cost security profiles

This is how you create user security profiles and assign permissions to them.

A security profile is a collection of access rights assigned to a user, or groups, in Aconex Connected Cost.

Tip!

Security profiles only affect users in your workspace. They do not affect users in other organizations that you've shared contracts with.

Creating a security profile

  1. In Cost Administration under the heading General, select Security Profiles.
  1. Click the plus icon on the toolbar to open the Create Security Profile dialog and enter a name and description.

Defining permissions for a security profile

  1. Select Cost Administration / Security Profiles.
  2. Select a security profile.
  3. Select the Access Control Records sub-grid, and define permission levels for each of the resources listed in the sub-grid by checking the correct permission level in each cell.

The Access Control Rules sub-grid on the security profiles page is where permission levels are defined for the modules.

There are seven system-defined permission levels, including no access.
