Add assets in Aconex before you work in Smart Manuals
Before you begin, you’ll need to make sure the asset values have been entered in Aconex, against the appropriate Document field. See Editing a multiple-select document field for your project to add new assets into Aconex.
Once you’ve added new assets they can now be assigned to a trade and asset details added. This is important for scanning a drawing because assets are scanned on their corresponding trade drawings. For example, if the asset is not assigned to mechanical, it will not be found on a mechanical drawing. So keep in mind, the system is not able to guess which drawings to scan.
