Copy Project

Enterprise organizations can give their users permission to copy active projects their organization owns.

Before you begin, read our best practices for copying projects.

You can copy a project from either the project details screen or the projects list, without needing to contact Oracle.

You can only copy projects where your organization is the Aconex project-owning organization

Tip!

Availability of this functionality depends on your contractual arrangement with Oracle. If you don't see this option, please contact your Oracle representative to arrange access.

Copy a single project

  1. From the top navigation click Setup, then select Project Settings.
  2. Click Copy and select Single Project.

Project-wide settings and preferences are copied to the new project with the exception of:

Organization Specific settings that are populated in the Project Settings area that will not be copied are:

You’ll need to review the above settings in the new project and make changes as required.

Note: When we launch or make changes to a feature, it may not be immediately available to copy to new projects. While we endeavor to keep this information complete and accurate, we advise you to confirm the settings on your copied project before starting to use it.

Tip!

Send an Activation Request via Aconex if you need to enable features such as Model Coordination on the new project. Any source projects copied that already have the Field module enabled will no longer require a Field activation request.
