Assign a role to a Field user

Give users appropriate roles on a project.

Field's project roles allow organizations to easily control and manage what their people can do in Aconex Field. There are two types of roles in Aconex Field – access roles and administrator roles. See Aconex Field project roles and permissions.

Tip!

If you are a Project Administrator for this project in Field, you are also able to assign roles (such as Inspector Admin) to users in other organizations.

  1. Log into Aconex and click Setup > Project Settings.
  2. Under Field Settings, click Field Directory, then click Your organization. You’ll see a list of Field users in your organization, and the role they’ve been assigned.
  1. Click on the pencil icon to edit the user's role. Select an appropriate role.
  1. Click Save.

The roles list is updated immediately to reflect the newly assigned role.
