Create a Lobby account using the guided process

Follow the guided process to create a new Lobby account or link your Aconex account to an existing Lobby account.

When you log in to Aconex with an Aconex username and password, you will be prompted to create a Lobby account. If you proceed, you will be guided through a process to create the new account. This process is described below.

Once you have set the password for your Lobby account, you will use it (and your email address) to sign into Aconex.

You can continue to sign into the Aconex instance directly as you normally would, or sign in to the Lobby to see all the projects for all your linked Aconex accounts.

If you're having trouble accessing Aconex, see our troubleshooting guide here.

If you already have a Lobby account, you must use it to access Aconex.

Use the guided process

  1. On the Aconex instance login screen enter your Aconex login name or email address and click Next.
  1. On the password entry screen, you'll see a banner informing you of the upcoming changes.
  1. Enter your Aconex password (and 2SV code if configured) and you'll see the following screen.
  1. Make sure your email address is correct.
  2. Click Create Account.
  3. You'll see a screen confirming your Lobby account was created. An email will be sent to you with instructions to set your password.

Note: If you already have a Lobby account you'll see the below screen instead. You'll need to sign in to the Lobby and link your Aconex account to your existing Lobby account.

  1. Open the email that was sent to you. An example of this email is shown in the image below.

Tip!

If the email hasn't arrived make sure to check the junk or spam folder. If it still doesn't arrive, contact your IT administrator. They may need to allow emails from the Lobby following these steps.

  1. Click the Set Password button. The password entry screen will open in a new tab in your web browser.
  2. Enter and confirm your password and click Reset Password.
  1. You'll see a confirmation screen that your password was set. You'll now use your email address and this new password to access Aconex.
  2. Close this tab to go back to the 'We've created your Lobby account' confirmation screen.
  1. On the 'We've created your Lobby account' confirmation screen, click Sign In.

If you closed this tab by mistake don't worry. You can go directly to the Aconex instance login screen as you usually would to log in.

Log into Aconex with your new account

  1. Log in to Aconex with your email address and the password you just set.

Note: If you've previously entered your email address we'll remember it and direct you to the next screen to enter your password.
  1. You'll be asked if you want to set up Two-Step Verification for additional security. Some projects require this to be enabled before you can access them.

Tip!

If you have 2SV configured on any of your Aconex accounts, you must configure Two-Step Verification on your Lobby account, otherwise you may not be able to access some of your Aconex projects.

  1. You're in! You'll now use your email address and new password (the one you just set) each time you need to access Aconex.

Remember, you can continue to log into the Aconex instance directly as you normally would, with your new credentials, or sign in to the Lobby to see all the projects for all your linked Aconex accounts.

If you have more than one Aconex account, you can link the others now.
