Mark a mail as No-Action Required

Sometimes an organization leaves a project without closing out their mail. This can leave you with outstanding mail stuck in your tasks that you're unable to reply to, or close out yourself. The No Action Required mail status effectively allows you to clear off the outstanding task. This option is available to all recipient organizations. You'll need to have the Mark a mail as No-Action Required permission granted to your user role to perform this action.

Things to note:

  • Once a mail has been marked as No Action Required, the only way to reverse the status is to send another mail in the thread to the initiating organization.
  • If the initiating organization replies to the mail thread after a mail was marked as No Action Required, the status of the mail will change back to it's original mail status. The mail can be marked as No Action Required once again if required.
  • If a No Action Required mail is Closed-Out by the sending organization, its status will change to Closed-Out for all organizations.

  1. Open the mail you want to clear from your outstanding tasks.
  2. Click Mark as No Action Required. If you don't see this option you don't have the Mark a mail as No-Action Required permission granted to your user role.
  1. The status of that mail will change to No Action Required.
  • The No Action Required status is only visible to your organization. Other organizations in the mail will continue to see it's original status.
  • The overall status of the mail thread will not change.
  1. You can filter for No Action Required mail in your inbox. Important: Your No Action Required mail is only visible from your Inbox. It is not visible in the All box.
