How to control which view is displayed in Aconex

You can control which view is displayed in the model viewer by naming a view/viewpoint inside the source file. Supported names (in search priority) are ‘Aconex’, then ‘Oracle’. Only one view is displayed. If both ‘Aconex’ and ‘Oracle’ exist, ‘Aconex’ is used.

How to name the view in each file format:

•    Revit: Create a 3D View named Aconex or Oracle.
•    Navisworks: Create a Saved Viewpoint named Aconex or Oracle.
•    DWG: Create a Named View named Aconex or Oracle.
•    DGN: Create a Saved View named Aconex or Oracle.

Fallback behaviour when the named view isn’t found:

•    Revit: Aconex generates its own 3D view, like Revit’s default 3D view created from scratch.
•    Navisworks: Displays all elements from the Scene View.
•    DWG: Displays all elements from Model Space.
•    DGN: Displays all elements from the first (No. 1) view in the Active View Group.
