Export packages

Download a package to a local folder either singularly or in bulk.

You can download single packages or run a bulk download for up to 100 packages, and use them for future reference. For example, to show to a client after completion.

Documents, mails and attachments are downloaded to a local folder, and you can also create an Excel report of the package’s properties, documents, mails and attachments. Note that if a mail contains attachments, these are downloaded to a separate folder.

Exporting single packages

  1. Open the package you’d like to export.
  2. Click on More.
  3. Select Export
  1. Select the content you’d like to include.
  2. Click on Export.

Exporting packages in bulk

  1. Open the Package Register.
  2. Select up to 100 packages.
  3. Select Package Management and select Export Packages in Bulk.
  1. (Optional) If you use package hierarchies on your project, you can choose Hierarchical to export your packages while preserving the hierarchical folder structure. The hierarchical export matches the package hierarchy on your project, with each folder nested under its parent.
  2. Select the content of the packages you want to download.
  1. Click Export to run the process.
  2. Once the process has finished, a zip file will be downloaded to your computer.

Tip!

When extracting a zip file with multiple hierarchies, you may get an error stating that the path name is too long. This occurs because Windows has a file path limit of 255 characters. To resolve this you can:
  • Extract the zip file to the root C: drive to shorten the path.
  • Try using a third-party zip extraction tool, as some tools handle long file paths better than the Windows default.
