Respond to a tender

Create a cover letter and include files from your computer or local network to submit a response to the tender.

Open the tender invitation by either:

  • the notification email or, 
  • navigating to the Tender module. 

Tip!

  • Users in North America will generally see Bid used in the Aconex interface instead of Tender to conform to local terminology. The functionality is the same.
  • You can only add files from your local computer or network.

Open the notification email

  1. Open the notification email from Aconex in your local email system (for example, Microsoft Outlook).
  2. Click on the link to open the tender invitation.
  1. Log in to Aconex when prompted.

Navigate to the Tender module

  1. Choose your project in the Project Selector at the top of the page.
  1. Click Tenders from the main navigation menu and then click Invitations.
  1. Click the tender number under the Tender No column to open the tender invitation.

Create your submission

  1. Click the Create Submission button.
  1. Enter your response in the Cover Letter field.
  1. Click the Attach button.
  • Click the Browse button, browse to the file you want to attach, and click the Open button.
  • To add another file, click the Attach another file link and return to step b.
  • Click the Attach button to upload all of the selected files.
  1. To remove an attachment, click the bin icon to the right of the filename under the Remove column.
  1. Click the Send button.
  1. Click the OK button in the confirmation message.
  2. A confirmation message will appear when the response has been sent.
