Update an open tender invitation with an addendum

Update or add more information to a current tender invitation by creating an addendum. You can attach documents from your register or files from your computer.

Tip!

Users in North America will generally see Bid used in the Aconex interface instead of Tender to conform to local usage. The functionality is the same.

  1.  Choose your project in the Project Selector at the top of the page.
  1. Click the Tenders button on the Module Menu, and under Search, click Invitations.
  1. Click the tender number under the Tender No column to open the tender invitation.
  1. Click the Create Addendum button.

Tip!

Can’t see the Create Addendum button? You'll need to ask your Org Admin to give you permission.
 

  1. Enter a brief description of the addendum in the Subject field.
  2. Enter information about the addendum in the Body field, as required.

If you need to change the closing date

  • Change the closing date and time in the Closing Date fields.

If you need to change the initiator/s

If you need to you can change the person, or people, who are listed as the Initiator Contact. Initiators must be from your organization and working on this project.
You can:

  • Add an initiator – enter a full or partial user or group name and click the Find icon to select from a list.
  • Remove an initiator – click the Trash icon to the right of the user name.

If you need to update the cover letter

  • Edit the text in the Cover Letter field, as required.

If you need to add an attachment

You can attach documents from the document register, or files from your local drive or network. You can't add documents from Temporary Files.

Send the addendum

  1. Now click the Send button. You'll see a confirmation message when the addendum is sent successfully.

  2. Click the OK button in the confirmation message.

When you send the addendum: 

To attach documents from the document register

  1. Type your search criteria into the Super Search field.
  2. Click the Search button.

 

  1. Select the checkbox for each document that you want to attach.
  2. Click the Attach button.
  1. Click the Close button in confirmation message.

To attach documents from your computer

  1. Select Local Files.
  2. Click the Browse button to select the file on your computer or network.
  3. Click the Open button.
  4. To add another file, click the Attach Another File link.
  5. Click the Attach button to upload all of the selected files.

Tip!

When adding local files, use a filename that indicates the content of the file. For example, LightingSchedule.pdf, not file1.pdf.
