Manage test plan notifications

Manage email notifications for test plans and understand when different notifications are sent.

Email notifications help to keep your test plans on track, by ensuring participants know when they need to take action.

Test Plans has two types of email notifications:​

  • Actionable ​email notifications are sent for for any action assigned to you, or your organization (if you have the appropriate Test Plan role to complete the action). You cannot turn these off.
  • Informational​ email notifications are sent for any update on a test plan you are participating on. These are disabled by default.

Make sure your email notification preference is set correctly. If you turn off email notifications in your user preferences, you will not receive any test plan notifications.

Tip!

Test Plans is currently only available to projects on the KSA1 and MEA Aconex instances. We'll continue to develop features based on feedback and announce availability for other Aconex instances at a later date. Make sure you subscribe to Release Highlights to be notified.

Manage your notifications

  1. From the main navigation menu, click Field and select Settings.
  2. Click Notifications and select Notification Settings.
  3. Check the box to receive email notifications for test plans that have updates you are involved with. You cannot disable notifications for test plans you are assigned to that requires your action.

Tip!

You won't receive a notification if you initiated the activity that sends a notification. For example if you start an activity that you are assigned to, you won't receive a notification that the activity was started.
