Markup documents on Mobile

View, markup and annotate PDF documents on your mobile device.

Open a PDF document

Navigate to the Documents or Drawings module to open a PDF document.
Tap on a document in the list to open it in the viewer
You’ll see the first page of the PDF. If there are multiple pages you’ll see them at the bottom.
Tap or drag across the pages to view them.

Use the toolbar to the bottom right of the document to perform the following actions.

In order from top to bottom:

Pin Issue – Select and Long press on a point in the Drawing PDF to pin an Issue. Only available in the Drawings module.
Filter issue pins – The issues shown on the drawing view can be filtered on the status of the Issue. Only available in the Drawings module.
Download – Download the document onto your device.
Edit Markup Mode (pencil icon) – Tap this to activate the editing toolbar to add/edit markups in the PDF
Move Toolbar – Tap and drag this icon to move the toolbar around the screen

Tap Edit (pencil icon) and select an option to view available markup tools. These are explained below.
Tap on a markup tool and tap the document to add the markup.
Select a markup for options to adjust style, copy or delete.
Drag to move markup.
Drag the blue corners to make adjustments.

Tool	Description
Eraser	Delete or erase markup layers.
Arrow	Touch the document and drag in the direction of the arrow.
Line	Touch the document and drag to draw the line
Free hand	Touch the document and drag to draw the free-form markup
Cloud	Touch the document and drag to draw the first edge. Tap on the document to add additional vertices. New edges are created from the starting vertice and the previous vertice to the latest touch point. Tap 'Complete Annotation' to finish the cloud markup
Rectangle	Touch the document an drag to draw the rectangle. Moving vertically changes the height and moving horizontally changes the width of the rectangle.
Circle	Touch the document and drag in the required direction to draw the circle.
Polygon	Touch the document and drag to draw the first edge. Tap on the document to add additional vertices. New edges are created from the starting vertice and the previous vertice to the latest touch point. Tap 'Complete Annotation' to finish the polygon markup
Polyline	Touch the document and drag to draw the first edge. Tap on the document to add additional vertices. New edges are created between the previous vertice and the latest touch point. Tap 'Complete Annotation' to finish the polyline markup
Undo	Undo markup change
Redo	Redo markup change

Tool	Description
Text	Tap on the document where you want to add text. Tap on the rotate icon to rotate the markup 90 degrees clockwise.
Text Highlight	Select the text you want to highlight.
Free Text Highlight	Touch the document and move your finger to add the free text highlight.
Comment	Tap on the document where you want to add a comment.
Callout	Tap on the document where you want to add a callout.
Text Underline	Select the text you want to underline.
Text Strike-through	Select the text you want to strikethrough.
Text Squiggly	Select the text you want to add a squiggly underline to.
Undo	Undo markup change.
Redo	Redo markup change.

Tool	Description
Insert Image	Tap on the document where you want to add an image. Tap rotate to rotate the markup 90 degrees clockwise.
Insert file attachment	Tap on the document where you want to insert a file attachment.
Insert signature	Tap 'Create New Signature' to create a signature: free hand draw, font type text, or an image. Tap on the document where you want to add the signature.
Undo	Undo markup change.
Redo	Redo markup change.

Tap Save once you are done marking up the PDF

Select Save to Files to save the marked up document on the device
Select Update to update the marked up document in your organizations document register.
