Project roles in Oracle Aconex Mobile

Every person using Aconex has a project role, which comes with specific responsibilities and access privileges.

In the web version of Aconex project roles allow organizations to easily control and manage what people can do.

These roles translate to Oracle Aconex Mobile, however if you are using Issues and Inspections there are a separate set of roles that your project admin will need to enable.

In general user roles are organized into two categories Access and Administration, which we’ll cover in more detail below.

Access roles

An access role allows a person to login to Oracle Aconex Mobile on a project and determines what they can do.

If you haven’t purchased Field, the roles are based on permissions that have been set up for you on the desktop version of Aconex.

Most people should be able to access, view and download drawings in Oracle Aconex Mobile. You must have Field access to be able to pin issues to drawings.

If your organization has purchased Field, the additional roles below will be applicable for Issues and Inspections.
