Manage clash results

View clash test results and raise design issues.

Required permissions
Model Coordination Administrator

Whenever you access clash in Aconex, you'll see the summary page of a clash space. Clash spaces help break down your project into smaller parts so you can determine what areas to coordinate and who has access to them.

The summary page displays the results of all the tests created in the space. They are divided by the zone breakdown set for the space.

If there is more than one space available, you can switch them using the space selection filter available on the top right.

View test results

You can see results in many ways in the clash space. You can choose to look at all the results of a test or you can choose to get a smaller portion of the results by selecting a zone.

To view all results for a test click on the heading of the column (the name of the test), or click the total result at the bottom of that column.

To narrow the results to a particular zone, click the cell corresponding to the zone and test you want to view. For example, we may want to view the results of the 'Struct v Facade' test in the 'Level 3' zone.

Once you have finished managing your clashes in a test you can return to the summary page by selecting the return button at the top of the test results.

Selecting clashes

You can click through the clash list on the left, or you can choose any of the clashes highlighted in the viewer.

When selecting a clash, the viewer automatically hides all other clashes displayed in the test. Whether you select a primary or a secondary object, all the related clashes will be highlighted in the clash list.

From the clash list, you can select zones or clash groups.

Select multiple clashes in the list by holding Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac) then click to add clashes to your selection.

Create a design issue

If you have the right permission in the clash space, you can create a design issue from the results.

  1. Select the clashes and click Create Design Issue. The design issue form will open.
  1. Complete the details for the design issue. (for example title, assignee, and viewpoints).
  2. Click Create
The issue will be visible to all participants in the clash space.

If you selected a design issue set for this issue, it will be visible to the participants of the design issue set.

Issues created from clash are automatically linked to design issues. They are identified with a link from clash allowing you to see how things are progressing when design issues have been raised.

Ignoring clashes

If you're an owner of a clash space, you can ignore some of the results in a test. This allows you to have full control of all clashes and ensures only the relevant ones are managed by your team. To ignore a clash, select it and click Ignore.

All ignored results can be found by filtering by status. Restore an ignored clash by selecting it and clicking Restore.
