As the Project Administrator of the project-owning organization, you can add or remove disciplines from your project.
A discipline is tagged to documents to help you find them later. They can also be used as part of your document auto-numbering scheme.
If you can't see the Discipline label in the Document Fields screen, it was probably renamed when Oracle created the new project for your organization. The Discipline field is normally the 6th item in the Document Fields list. Note: You cannot change the Discipline field's label yourself, but if you want to change it, you should contact Oracle Support.
